Rhyming for Third Graders

You get a word and your brother get’s a word,
who want’s to start?
Your word is world,
your word is home,
each word is burled,
petrified, stone.
Your word is bed,
your word is cat,
try to use your head,
how about that?
Don’t forget sounds,
endings sharp or round,
don’t forget patterns
like tanlines from sunburns.
Keep your eyes up, look out for clues,
the world itself can be your best muse.
