I have it

I have it.
I’ve acquired the tool.
It ends the pain, the embarassment, the selfish void.
I have it.
I have it all.
It’s a quick little burst
and an end to the worst
a sudden fall
and then, just like that,
you’re gone.
You’re done.
Saying “God, where was the fun?”
“Did I miss it? Was there a turn somewhere?”
And then you realize there’s no one there.
You’re all alone, and the silence roars,
and still, at least there is no more.
