Truth and Fog [part 1] A Short Story

False credentials and a good webdesign can get you into places you’d never thought you’d enter.
Like the center of a school gymnasium, surrounded by the noisy teens on their un-expected Home Room “Spirit day.”
They think they’re here to see a motivational speaker who is going to lie through their teeth at them that everything is going to be all right, and that they need to follow their dreams.
But as I stand here on this high-sheen floor, watching and listening to the clamoring chatter, I merely marvel that the adults— as brainless as the worst student— think that I’m a motivational speaker.
The teachers and principles, with their politician-smiles, think I’m here to say beautiful things in simple ways.

Not today.

Today, we tell the truth.
