Shipping Off

I built a ship out of the sand
and took it out to sea
and clouds fixed my sails
and driftwood, my rudder
and behind me there trails
that seaweed-kelp blubber;
and the winds blowing easterly
and the suns setting ahead
and the moons on the rise
on these tranquil blue skies
to watch a sailor sail land.
