A Certain Sorcery

Hansel and Gretel knocked on the door
the witch came out, they knock no more.
Rumpelstiltskin, with his bag of Gold,
no Child to keep him from growing old.
Cinderella, with no looking-as-you-run
a princess made from a dash of magic fun.
But a fair price asked for what is bought
do you have that which you sought?
Beauty fair, and Beast so cruel;
Pinocchio, dance! You’re everyone’s fool.
did you understand the wishes you’d ask
Devil’s can don the Blue Fairies face as a mask.
But hang a star in the night sky
as your magic carpet passes by
for a wish and a spell are simple, at core;
but think twice when the Witch answers her door.
