preparation
years of determination
no trepidation
no hesitation
the stage and the lights
cool city nights
the sound of foot steps
the rhythm they left
to the hymn of a guitar string
through hallways echoing
a single womans dream
of something more.

I’ve officially been dancing Flamenco for a year now, I am expected to perform in February a Sevillana, a Fandango and an Alegria.
I don’t think I’m exactly prepared let alone good enough to handle this well, but I’m a Ham by nature and being a violinist for so long, I’m used to solo performances in front of audiences holding tomatoes at the ready.

  1. I’ve heard of Flamenco, but I’ve never seen it before. I think the anticipating and anxiety of something approaching is worst than the actual event.
