Once upon a diary entry
When the days were long with summer
And time slowed when the wind passed by
And ever rainy was the sunny sky
I remembered you one day
In the touch of the wooden bracelet we made
And my cheeks again began to redden
My eyes took up the candles glow
And I touched my lips
Seeking out your loving breath
As though you were there to kiss me.
But then my fingers brushed
The bracelets thorns
You placed beneath its center rose
And the summer grew cold
And the leaves were shed
And I remembered
You are dead.
